Most watch straps come steadfastly attached to the timepiece. What this means is that changing out the strap is in many cases a work of effort and skill, sometimes even requiring a trip to the watchmaker. This is not the case with the straps on this list.
All the items listed below come equipped with quick release pins. What this means is that with a simple push, swapping out your watch bands is a seamless process, allowing you to go from formal to sporty to trendy as your personal style or circumstances dictate.
Leather Straps
Our leather straps are built for quality, using the apex of Italian leather, machine design, and quick customization to create a truly one-of-a-king batch of offerings. With enough wear, a sleek patina will form on your leather in response to the oils of your skin and the natural exposure it has. The backing of the straps is made from Alcantara, a suede-like synthetic used in everything from luxury cars to furniture to our watch straps. Lightweight and sweat-resistant, it makes the perfect complement to any leather strap. The machined buckle also presents a unique design decision. Rather than using a regular hammer bent method to create the buckle, Jack Mason has opted for a punched hole in the stainless steel. This helps prevent damage that may accrue on traditionally assembled buckles.The Straps
There are multiple leather straps in our catalog: Black Leather Strap: Timeless and classic, a black leather strap makes the perfect accent in formal contexts or for dress watches and conservatively colored sports watches. Brown Leather Strap: A quintessential coloring, brown straps offer a more casual appearance than black straps and are especially complementary to blue and other colored dials. Tan Leather Strap: For a lighter color, the tan leather strap is perfectly sporty and goes wonderfully with the lighter hues that signify the height of summer. Each of these straps features the same Alcantara backing and machined buckle for the ideal mix of form and function.Stitched Leather Straps
A subtle distinction makes all the difference. For that reason, a stitched leather strap might catch your eye. These straps showcase cream-colored stitching on the exterior, as well as the same sleek Alcantara backing. Black Stitched Leather Strap: The stitching here adds an eye-catching embellishment to an otherwise traditionally formal watch band. Brown Stitched Leather Strap: With the earthen color and cream stitching, the brown stitches strap revels in being a casual strap that still exudes style. Also differentiating these straps is the color of the backing: While the Alcantara of the plain straps matched to signify the underside of the grain, here both straps revel in sleek, grey-colored backing. Jack Mason is dedicated to sustainability, and for that reason, we have introduced our cork watch strap. A cork strap may summon the image of stiff, starchy bulletin boards and wine corks, but cork fabric is a soft, water-resistant, and environmentally friendly addition to your wristwear.
Cork is a lightweight, water-resistant, fire-retardant material whose beneficial properties cannot be overstated. Durability concerns can easily be assuaged, as cork is highly friction resistant to the point that it has been used as a material in spacecraft. From a production standpoint, cork fabric can be harvested and made through a process involving fewer chemicals than leather products, making it a great way to reduce your ecological footprint.
Also notable is its design as a nato strap. Whereas the leather straps above are two separate pieces attached with a buckle, nato straps are made from a single, adjustable band for added slip protection and durability. The original nato straps were made of nylon, as the material offered greater flexibility and all-condition weathering compared to leather. While we’ve swapped the nylon for cork, we’ve maintained those same design principles which have made nato straps so popular.
