MAD ABOUT MATTE
Matte refers to many things, but we are talking about it in reference to the surface of an object. To create a matte finish, the surface material of the object must have texture. It is not the material itself, but rather the treatment of the material that makes a surface matte.

PVD Coating
We use a process called PVD coating to ensure that our watches are more resistant to corrosion from sweat and regular wear. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a vacuum coating process that utilizes titanium nitride to provide an extremely durable coating. To achieve the matte finish that you see on these exclusive watches, the case is first polished to clean up all the machine marks and then bead blasted with silicon or glass. The matte texture gives increased durability to the watch case because it is less prone to scratching.
Low Light Visibility
We use Swiss Super-LumiNova® on the dial of our watches for high legibility and low light visibility. This feature is extremely useful for both diving and aviation watches as they are often used in low-light environments. Whether you are diving down to depths up to 300 meters or operating a plane at night, you will have the benefit of an illuminated dial to tell time in these challenging conditions.
