TEXAS ICONS

As a Texas based company, we wanted to honor our roots by celebrating the events and figures in Texas history that are iconic in their industry. With each watch in this series we conducted in depth research to find the most relevant people, places and things for both our brand and our fans. To us, iconic means: original, influential, transformative, and memorable. We want to pay homage to these Texas Icons who have made an impact by not only designing a watch but also sharing their story and supporting their current charitable efforts.

SPINDLETOP

With this watch, we wanted to acknowledge the event that arguably put Texas on the map at the start of the 20thcentury. On January 10, 1901, in the city of Beaumont, the Lucas Gusher blew onto the Spindletop oilfield. This marked the birth of the modern petroleum industry and formed thousands of companies in and around Texas. We designed this watch in collaboration with the official museum and educational center for Spindletop, the Spindletop Gladys City Boomtown Museum.
