01.

Day-Date Practicality

The regulated SW240-1 serves as the mechanical foundation of the watch, bringing together precision and practicality in equal measure. Arched gracefully between the eleventh and first hour markers, the full day-of-the-week display follows the natural curvature of the dial. At six o'clock, the date display grounds the composition, creating visual symmetry while providing an intuitive calendar display for daily wear.

02.

The Art of Guilloché

Machined with a finely detailed guilloché pattern, the dial adds dimension to the watch's design. Every engraved line is cut with remarkable consistency, producing a richly textured surface that captures and reflects light from every angle. As the light shifts throughout the day, the intricate pattern reveals new layers of depth.

03.

Under-Crystal Magnifier

An integrated under-crystal date magnifier improves legibility while preserving the clean profile of the watch. Thoughtfully engineered beneath the sapphire crystal, the magnifier leaves the top surface perfectly smooth allowing form and function to exist in complete harmony.

04.

SW240-1 Top-Grade

On the underside of the watch, visible through the exhibition caseback, the bridges and mainplates are decorated with exceptional top-grade finishing. At the heart of the movement is a custom gold-toned rotor, sculpted to echo the gentle curvature of a longhorn's horns. The signature Lone Star emblem anchors the design and serves as a distinctive expression of the brand's Texas heritage.

05.

Proudly Built in the USA

Each Canton Day-Date is built, tested, and regulated by skilled watchmakers in the United States, where every detail reflects a commitment to American craftsmanship. Before leaving the watchmaker's bench, every watch is meticulously adjusted, inspected, and verified to ensure exceptional precision.

One Week With the Canton Day-Date

"I recently purchased the Jack Mason Canton Day-Date in the Lagoon dial, and after spending a full week with it on my wrist, I can confidently say it’s a great addition to my collection. The upgraded movement is noticeable, particularly in the smooth sweep of the second hand across that beautiful Lagoon dial. It really adds to the overall feel of the watch. Initially, I wasn’t sure about the 41mm case size and thought I might have preferred a 39mm. After wearing it for a week and making a few adjustments to the bracelet, including removing additional links, the fit is much better than I expected. The lug-to-lug proportions sit nicely on my wrist. One of my favorite updates is the removal of the red, white, and blue detail from the tip of the second hand. While that detail worked with some previous dial colors, I felt it didn’t complement every colorway. Removing it gives the watch a cleaner, more versatile look and makes the Lagoon dial stand out even more. The seven-link bracelet is another highlight. It’s extremely comfortable and gives the watch a refined feel without sacrificing its everyday versatility. This is my second Jack Mason purchase, and I’m impressed with how the brand continues to refine their collection. For the price, the upgraded movement, improved design details, comfortable bracelet, and overall wrist presence make this a watch I’m genuinely enjoying. Another solid piece from Jack Mason."

CANTON DAY DATE LAGOON

"The milled guilloché is fascinating to see in different lighting and positions. Texture is different from the outside to the inside of the watch where the hour indicators are positioned. The design seems to transform to a finer rounding pattern that catches the light differently. By putting the crystal magnifier under the crystal, it enabled me to add a screen protector to keep from scratching the crystal. I own a Grand Seiko Spring Drive SPGA415 and the Jack Mason watch finish is as smooth as the Zaratsu polishing. The on the fly micro-adjust band makes wearing the watch outdoors fit my wrist as it swells. A feature that should be standard on all watches. The Swiss Super-LumiNova® lume is as good as you can get. It outlasts all of my other watches hands down. The watch keeps time within the specified +-5 second a day range so it comparable to my Rolex and Seiko mechanical. My only complaint is that most of my watches are titanium and very light. I am getting used to the extra weight thou and have been wearing it every day since it arrived. I am trying to see if Jack Mason will exchange the stainless-steel band for a titanium band. Hopefully they will. I bought a Jack Mason watch primarily because I wanted a Texas brand watch but would recommend to anyone outside of Texas. A great micro brand watch to add to my collection."
